Scott A. Moore calls himself a Human Leadership Guru. His credentials include Professional Certified Coach (PCC), Certified Aviation Manager (CAM), and Certified Coach Mentor (CCM). The word “guru” comes from the Sanskrit word for “lifting up”, and that is what Scott tries to do in every human interaction.
Scott graduated from the United States Air Force Academy and earned a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Illinois. His first career involved serving as a pilot and officer in the United States Air Force, leading airmen, and flying transport aircraft all over the world. After his Air Force career, Scott worked as the Director of Aviation for Luck Companies, overseeing a corporate flight operation, which supported the business and the associates of the family-owned stone company in Virginia. During this time, Scott served on the Board of Directors of the National Business Aviation Association, a national non-profit aviation organization in Washington, DC.
After a career transition from corporate pilot to coach, Scott founded Moore Life Leadership in 2016. His work now includes personal, executive, and business coaching, leading leadership workshops, and delivering keynote speeches to audiences both in the U.S. and Europe. With over 2,700 hours of coaching through working with an international coaching provider, Scott has coached people at all levels, in every size of company. Scott helps his clients choose to live successful, happy, and fulfilling lives. Scott serves on the faculty of the Radiance Partners coaching school, helping train exceptional coaches. Scott is the father of three mostly grown boys, and he calls Fort Walton Beach home, although he travels extensively.
For fun, Scott is on a quest to “collect” the 3,143 counties in the United States. To collect a county, Scott has to take his picture in front of the county courthouse. So far, he has collected over half of the counties in the United States and plans to finish by 2029. He is the author of six books on County Collecting and has plans to write many more.
